Routine

The older I get the more I love a routine! The last few weeks have been full of crazy schedules. Christmas, Florida trip, 6 day hospital stay and then 8 inches of snow and a week off school to top it off!

Today we finally got Calee off to school, Ames to Mother's Day out, and Cohen to his physical therapy appointment. It was nice to be back in the old schedule!

So Cohen's 1 night in the hospital turned into 5 nights. We were sent home on Saturday just in time to get snowed in for several days. We had a great experience at our local hospital and it was so much easier to be close by. Our doctor is so amazing and he made sure CoCo was really well before he sent him home.

I would say he is almost back to normal now. Hardly any cough and congestion left. I would also say I have learned my lesson and we are keeping our tails at home as much as we can! I had gotten pretty brave about taking him out, and it caught up with him pretty quickly.

I also wanted to wish our buddy Emma Claire Warren a Happy, Happy 1st Birthday. We love you!

AND GUESS WHAT SWEET LITTLE BOY WENT HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL AFTER 6 1/2 MONTHS???? Yep, Baby Bennett is home where he belongs! Congrats to his awesome family!

I promise to update more with pics! Love to you all!

CoCo Update and Request

Cohen is still in the hospital. Looks like he will possibly go home tomorrow, pending another chest x-ray and his oxygen requirements. We are really hoping not to go home with oxygen, but if we do, we do.

He is in great spirits and enjoying all the attention from the nurses. I think he likes having Mommy all to himself as well.

The hospital has been a good experience. I am glad we took the chance and came here.

On my heart and mind today is our friend Bennett , who is having his G tube placed and the nissen fundiplication done today. Pray for this precious boy and his family. He is a little warrior and I know God will see him through the next part of their journey.

Thanks to everyone for your concern and love for Cohen, and our little buddy Bennett. I will update you soon.

Never a Dull Moment......

We got home from our awesome Disney vacation on Sunday. That night Cohen was still coughing and had some congestion, so I just thought I would run him by our primary doctor's office the next morning to listen to him and make sure it was still just a cold.

Turns out, it had gone into pneumonia. He admitted Cohen yesterday morning (Monday) and he seems a little better. They are doing a "blow by" oxygen on him and he has IV antibiotics and steroids going. His oxygen saturation's at night have been pretty low. All the way down to 70. Averaging about 80. That is the main reason we are still here.

I had already forgotten how crazy hospital life is. I am super thankful he is here and doing ok.

Now, for the humor in all this. We are at a brand new hospital. The crib is literally an 8 foot tall cage. We have laughed so hard at Cohen. He sticks his head in the bars and chews on them. He loves it. And yes, I have pictures! They are fuzzy, taken with my cell phone.
Here ya go-------we are going to try and buy one of these cage cribs for Ames too!!! LOL
